The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) was founded by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995 as per permission accorded by the Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh. The AUST is the only private University in Bangladesh that has received a permanent charter from Bangladesh Government. The university aims to provide ambitious students with quality education to meet the needs of our society in the perspective of a highly competitive and globalized world.

AUST University Admission Requirements
A. Undergraduate Programs
I. ENGG./ARCH. FOR SSC-HSC CANDIDATES 1. HSC (Science) with Math, Physics, Chemistry 2. GPA in HSC: Minimum 3.5 (with additional subject) 3. Sum of GPA of HSC and SSC: Minimum 8.0 (with additional subject) FOR O & A – LEVEL 1. O-level or equivalent (with at least five subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry & English) 2. A-level or equivalent in Math, Physics & Chemistry with minimum equivalent GPA of 3.5 3. Sum of equivalent GPA of O & A-level: Min 8.0 4. Conversion Scale: A/A*=5, B=4, C=3 & D=2 Note : As per the Private University Act 2010, 3% of the total seats are reserved for sons/daughters of Freedom Fighters (FF), while another 3% for poor and meritorious candidates of Remote and Undeveloped Areas (RA). II. BBA FOR SSC-HSC CANDIDATES 1. Must have SSC & HSC or equivalent degrees from any discipline 2. Minimum requirement: Total GPA 7.00 in SSC+ HSC (with additional subject) 3. Candidates who have passed SSC or O-level or equivalent examinations in 2015 and onwards, and HSC or A-level or equivalent examinations in 2019 and onwards can apply. 4. Quota for Freedom Fighter’s son/daughter and Remote & Underdeveloped areas is applicable for BBA Program. FOR O & A – LEVEL 1. Minimum five subjects in O-level and two subjects in A-level. 2. Sum of equivalent GPA of O & A-level: Minimum 7.00 with at least 3.00 at any level. 3. Grade equivalence: A/A*=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1. |
B. Graduate Programs
I. M Sc Engg./ M. Engg in EEE For admission to the program leading to Masters Degree- 1. Candidate must have a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.0 in B.Sc. Engineering 2. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 out of 5.0 in either SSC or HSC 3. Must not have a GPA less than 2.00 in other examinations. A full-time student must register a minimum of 9 (nine) credit hours and a maximum of 12 (twelve) credit hours per semester. A part-time student should register for a minimum of 6 (six) and a maximum of 9 (nine) credit hours per semester. Total credits required for a post-graduate program is 36. 1. Students of M. Sc. Engg. need to complete 18 credits of course work with a minimum CGPA of 2.65 and 18 credits of thesis work with a “satisfactory” grade. 2. Students of M. Engg. need to complete 30 credits of course work with a minimum CGPA of 2.65 and 6 credits of project work with a “satisfactory” grade. II. MBA 1. Candidates must have a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Engineering, Agriculture or Medicine may also apply. 2. The applicant must not have third division/class or GPA less than 2.25 in the scale of 5.00 or GPA 2.00 in the scale of 4 in more than one examination. 3. Candidates having two-year Bachelor’s degree must have minimum three years of job experience in executive level. Such candidates have to complete two additional non-credit courses. 4. Candidates having job experience will get preference. III. EMBA 1. Candidates must have a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Engineering, Agriculture or Medicine may also apply. 2. The candidate must not have any third division/class or GPA less than 2.25 in the scale of 5.00 or GPA 2.00 in the scale of 4 in more than one examination. 3. Candidates must have minimum two years of job experience in executive level or equivalent. 4. Candidates having two-year Bachelor’s degree must have minimum three years of job experience in executive level. Such candidates have to complete two additional non-credit courses. |

After login into your account click on the “Application” link.
Provide all the necessary information and complete your online application form. In the preview section you will get all the provided information. From there you can download a draft version of your online application form. Check the information. If all look good, press the “Submit” button.
Scanned documents/photo which will be needed during filling the online application form –
I. Photo & Signature
(a) Scanned recent Passport Size Photo of the applicant. Maximum allowed file size is 50KB. Allowed file extensions are .jpeg,and .jpg.
(b) Scanned signature of the applicant. Maximum allowed file size is 50KB. Allowed file extensions are .jpeg, and .jpg.
II. Quota (Remote Area)
(a) Residency certificate, issued by the Chairman of the Union Council, thereafter, authenticated by the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) to the University.
(b)Testimonial from the Headmaster and/or Principal of the school/college where an applicant studied.
III. Quota (Freedom Fighter)
Applicant must submit the documents of their parents (father or mother) to fulfill the following
criteria as proof of Freedom Fighter for verification –
(a) যাঁদের নাম মুক্তিবার্তায় চূড়ান্ত তালিকায় (মুক্তিবার্তা লাল বই) অন্তর্ভুক্ত আছে (সবুজ তালিকা গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়) (প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে)। অথবা
(b) যাঁদের নাম ভারতীয় তালিকায় অন্তর্ভুক্ত আছে (প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে)। অথবা
(c) মাননীয় প্রধান মন্ত্রী কর্তৃক প্রতিস্বাক্ষরিত বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ হতে সনদ ধারী মুক্তিযোদ্ধাগণ (প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে)। এবং
(d) মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয় হতে যাঁদের নামে মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সাময়িক সনদ পত্র ইস্যু করা হয়েছে এবং যাঁদের নামে এ মন্ত্রণালয় কর্তৃক গেজেট প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে (তবে এক্ষেত্রে সাময়িক সনদপত্রধারীদের অবশ্যই গেজেট থাকতে হবে এবং গেজেটের নাম, ঠিকানার সাথে সাময়িক সনদের মিল থাকতে হবে)। এবং
(e) অন্যান্য সংশ্লিষ্ট কাগজপত্র / প্রমাণাদি (প্রযোজ্য ক্ষেত্রে)।
IV. GCE Candidates
(a) Attested copies of the Certificates and Grade Sheets of GCE O and A level issued by the appropriate authority like Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel etc.The following documents will not be considered:
i) Documents and grade sheets from school
ii) Result for Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS Level)
V. Foreign Applicants
(a) Scanned copy of the passport
(b) Scanned certificate of twelve years of schooling equivalent to GCE A level
(c) IELTS/TOEFL Document.
The downloaded copy of the filled-up Online Application Form along with all the academic transcripts & certificates and 1 (one) recent colored photograph should then be sent through e-mail (to the address of [email protected]) to the Registrar of the university.
After the successful submission of online application form you will get an 8 digit “Application Serial Number”.
Applicant must pay the application fees through bKash APP.
The below steps are needed to be followed during the payment of an application fee through the bKash app.

AUST Admission Result
University Authority will primarily screen the application and will make to shortlist for written admission test. Shortlisted candidates will attend in the written admission test. Written exam results will be published on this Link.
