BUET Admission Circular 2021-2022
Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology is known as BUET. BUET is a pioneer in engineering education in Bangladesh. In 1876, it was founded as the Dhaka Survey School. In the year 1912, it was renamed Ahsanullah Engineering College. When Pakistan was created in 1962, the name was changed to EPUET, and following Bangladesh’s freedom, it was renamed BUET.
Admission at BUET is quite competitive. There are just a few seats available, only 1215 students are admitted each year. Today, however, we shall try and learn about the procedure for getting admission to the BUET, as outlined in the BUET admission prospectus.

buet.ac.bd Admission Test Date & Time
Because of the global Covid-19 outbreak, the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) admission test will be held in two stages: pre-selection and main admission test, in compliance with health regulations. In this case, the pre-selection test will be administered in two shifts. Applicants chosen on the basis of merit in the pre-selection test will be invited to take the main admission test. The pre-selection and final admission tests will be placed on the BUET campus.
BUET admission candidates will attend two admission tests. 1st to 20,000th candidates can participate in the primary admission test (MCQ). After that, 6000 students can participate in the final exam (Written) based on their primary admission test result.

BUET Admission Requirements
| 1. Students who have passed the SSC /equivalent examination in 2018 or 2019 and the HSC/equivalent examination in 2021, Or Passed the SSC/equivalent examination in 2018 and the HSC/equivalent examination in 2020 but the board challenged result results of the HSC/equivalent examination have been published by the Education Board after 3 May 2021. – eligible for the BUET admission form fillup. 2. Candidates have to pass SSC with a minimum GPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the science department (including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) in the grading system from the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Education Baard / Technical Education Board in Bangladesh. 3. Candidates should have a GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the HSC / Alim / equivalent examination and must had a minimum of 170 marks out of 200 marks in Mathematics and a minimum of 372 marks out of 400 marks in Physics and Chemistry. 4. All the applicants from 1st to 20,000th will be allowed to participate in the pre-selection test by selecting from among all the correct applicants on the basis of the prescribed number mentioned above. |

BUET Apply 2022
Candidates who are interested in applying for admission must do so online. First, applicants must visit the BUET Admissions website at www.buet.ac.bd. You may get the Application Form there. Candidates must complete out this form with accurate information.
According to BUET official website, Firstly, an applicant has to submit a properly filled online application form via the online submission system available through the university website (www.buet.ac.bd) within the stipulated time period.
A recently taken passport size color photograph (approximately 300×350 pixel and maximum 75 KB size) and the signature (either scanned or photographed, approximately 300×80 pixel and maximum 20 KB size) have to be uploaded (JPG format) at the appropriate place of the submission form.
No writing and no attestation are allowed on this photograph. No illegibility or deformation is allowed in the photograph and signature.
Note that the photograph and signature will be verified in the examination hall.
After submitting the application with all the information properly, you will get a serial number. Use this Serial Number to send the Application Fee. You can use SureCash or Rocket to send Applications free.

Important Notes to Applicants
- For the applicants whose “Receipt of application” is marked by the symbol E, S, T or R (as described in Step 1) only online submission of the application form will not be acceptable; they must also submit the printed copy of the submitted application form along with required documents (as listed in Step 4) within the specified date. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the online application.
- Incomplete or erroneous applications will be canceled. Wrong or false information provided in the application form will lead to the cancellation of the application.
BUET Admit Card Download 2022
After the list of eligible applicants for the pre-admission test is announced, an eligible applicant can download the BUET admit card for the pre-admission test from the website by clicking the “Download Admit Card” link. He or she must then print this admission card on A4 white offset paper (80 gsm) and keep it safe. A candidate will not be permitted to enter the examination hall unless he or she has an Admit Card.
