BSMRMU University Admission Circular 2022
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University was founded in 2013 as the country’s 36th public university. It is the first maritime university in Bangladesh, the third in South Asia, and the world’s 12th maritime institution. Minimum Requirements For BSMRMU Admission
Applicants who have passed HSC or equivalent examination in 2020/2021 and SSC or equivalent examination in 2018/2019 are eligible to apply.
Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy
| Program Name: LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law Applicants must have passed HSC/equivalent examination and SSC/equivalent examination from any group with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a minimum “B” grade in all subjects. For English Medium (GCE) Students: “O” level: At least 5 subjects have to be passed. At most 2 “C” grades are allowed. “A” level: At least 2 subjects have to be passed. At most 1 “C” grade is allowed. |
Faculty of Shipping Administration
| Program Name: BBA in Port Management and Logistics Applicants must have passed the HSC/equivalent examination and SSC/equivalent examination from any group with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a minimum “B” grade in all subjects. For English Medium (GCE) Students: “O” level: At least 5 subjects have to be passed. At most 2 “C” grades are allowed. “A” level: At least 2 subjects have to be passed. At most 1 “C” grade is allowed. |
Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science
| Program Name: BSc (Hons) in Oceanography & BSc (Hons) in Marine Fisheries 1. Applicants must have passed HSthe C/equivalent examination and SSC/equivalent examination from the Science group with a minimum GPA of 4.0. 2. In HSC/equivalent examination, applicants must have obtained a minimum ‘A’ grade in any two subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology and with a minimum ‘B’ grade in the rest of the subjects. For English Medium (GCE) Students: “O” level: At least 5 subjects have to be passed including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. At most 2 “C” grades are allowed. “A” level: At least 3 subjects have to be passed including Mathematics, Biology and Physics. At most 1 “C” grade is allowed. |

a. Short-listed candidates shall be allowed to appear written test. These candidates include candidates who passed in H.S.C/Equivalent Examination in 2021 & 2020.
b. The names of short-listed candidates has been published on 10 May 2022 online in BSMRMU website (https://bsmrmu.edu.bd/).

How Candidates will be evaluated
As per the admission prospectus, applicants’ profiles will be evaluated in accordance with different parameters such as Written test Score, and Previous Result, to select the final candidates. The GPA of the SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations will be set as 200 and will be evaluated as follows:

BSMRMU Admission Circular 2022 – How to Apply
- First, go to applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd at this link.
- Fill Up the Form with your absolutely correct info and submit it by pressing “submit” Button.
- After submitting you will get APPLICATION ID.[Keep this with importance]
Admission Test Fee Payment Instruction
- Dial *255#
- Press 1 to select PAYMENT option.
- Select 1 to select BILL PAY option.
- Type 1 if this is your account, dial 2 if this is others account and give the phone number.
- Type as your Biller ID
- Enter APPLICATION ID as BILL NUMBER
- Enter amount
- Enter PIN of your ROCKET account
- then you will get a confirmation SMS on your phone.
BSMRMU Admit Card Download
After completing the BSMRMU Admission application then the authority gives you BSMRMU Admission Test Admit Card. You can download admit card from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University admission official website http://bsmrmu.edu.bd/. BSMRMU Admission Test Result will be published on the official website & Bducation.com. You can also download the BSMRMU admission merit list from our website.
BSMRMU Admission Result 2022
BSMRMU Admission Result will be published within 25 working days of the Admission test.
Detailed results, as well as a merit list and waiting list in PDF format will be published for each faculty. A Separate merit list and a waiting list will be published for each subject of each faculty.
Addmission Instruction
1. Admission Deadline
All selected applicants are requested to complete their Admission formalities between 27 July 2022 to 04 August 2022 (From 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs).
2. Documents Required for Admission
For admission formalities the following documents have to be submitted:
- Admit Card of the admission test
- Original copy of all Academic Certificate and Mark sheet/Transcript
- Passport size photo (04 copies)
- Attested photocopy of national ID Card/Birth Certificate/ Passport
3. Medical Test
Selected candidates have to complete the following Medical Test and verify those by the Medical Officer, BSMRMU during admission.

4. Admission Fees Payment
During admission following fees have to be paid:

- Collect Admission Form and Bank Slip from Dean FET Office (5th Floor).
- Verify Medical report (paragraph -3) by Medical officer BSMRMU (Ground Floor).
- Deposit all fees (mentioned above) to Trust Bank, Pallabi, Mirpur branch in prescribed Bank slip.
- Submit the accounts copy of Bank slip to the accounts Officer (8th Floor).
- Submit completed admission form & Bank Slip (Admission copy) to the Admission Section at Dean FET Office (5th Floor)
- Submit 02 copies of the “Student’s Information Data Form” available at the university website.
