DU B Unit Admission Timeline 2022

The Admission Test will be held in 8 divisional cities including Dhaka. In other words, the admission test will be taken centrally not only in Dhaka but also at the divisional level.

1.  Applicants who have passed SSC or equivalent examination between 2016 to 2019 and HSC or equivalent examination in 2021 from Humanities group are eligible to apply.
2. Applicants must have passed HSC/equivalent examination and SSC/equivalent examination with minimum GPA 3.0 separately and Total GPA 7.50 with 4th subject.
3. Also, the candidates who want to be admitted to any department must have the qualifications prescribed for that department.

It was decided to take 60 Marks MCQ and 40 Marks written test in the KHA unit of Dhaka University Admission. Exam Duration for KHA Units will be 45 minutes for MCQ and 45 minutes for written test.

Topic-wise Marks Distribution is given below.

* Effective English: Applicable for students who passed GCE/”A” level
MCQ Exam: 1 mark for each question, 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Pass Mark: Total 40
MCQ Pass Mark: 24 (minimum in Bangla 5 marks, General English 5 marks & General Knowledge 10 marks)
Written Pass Mark: 11 (minimum in Bangla 5 marks, and General English 5 marks)

As per the admission prospectus, applicants’ profiles will be evaluated in accordance with different parameters such as Written test Scores, and Previous Results, to select the final candidates. The written test score with GPA of the SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations will be set as 120 and will be evaluated as follows:

** Merit list will be prepared based on the number of admission test and the result of the SSC / equivalent and HSC / equivalent examinations.

If the merit score is equal, then the merit list will be prepared by considering the followings:

1. Admission Test Score (Average score of Bangla & General English)
2. HSC/Equivalent exam obtained GPA without 4th subject
3. HSC/Equivalent exam obtained GPA with 4th subject
4. SSC/Equivalent exam obtained GPA with 4th subject
5. Any other method decided by the admission authority

Dhaka University has launched a website called admission.eis.du.ac.bd for admission application, login and all related information. Eligible candidates can apply for admission by following the below-mentioned procedure. Its noted that, applicants must submit the application before the deadline otherwise application submission will not be considered valid.

1. To fill up the online application form for the DU admission test, the applicant will need SSC and HSC information, current address and mobile number, and parent’s national identity card number (optional).
2. The applicant has to select any 01 of the 8 divisional cities as the admission center.
3. A scanned image will be required. Image details are given below.
   Image Format: jpg or jpeg,  Size: 30 – 200 KB, Width: 360-540 pixel, Height: 540-720 pixel.
4. To send SMS, the applicant must have the mobile number of Robi, Airtel, Teletalk, or Banglalink operator.
5. Admission application fee can be paid online within the stipulated time. You can use any one of the following to pay the admission fee. VISA/ Mastercard/ American Express Debit or Credit Card, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking or the Four States Bank Sonali, Janata, Agrani, and Rupali bank.

Without admit card, students can not sit for the exam. However, the University will open admit card download option from 16 May 2022 to till 1 hour before the exam starts. Then, applicants should download the admit card and participate in the exam properly.

Dhaka University KHA Unit Seat plan will be available before the Admission Test. Moreover, candidates can be informed of his/her seat plan through SMS as per instructions given in Admit Card.

Based on merit score, the selected candidate merit list has been published in admission.eis.du.ac.bd website within 4 weeks of the Admission test. You can also download the DU B Unit Admission Merit List from our website bducation.com as well. Admission results will be available through SMS.
