BUTEX Admission Timeline 2022

BUTEX admission exam date has been uncovered and the date is set for 12 August 2022.  Here is the exam date and time.

Quota: Freedom Fighter (FF) & Tribal

1. Applicant must be a Citizen of Bangladesh.

2. Candidate must pass HSC/equivalent examination in 2021.

3. Applicant must have at least a GPA of 5.00 in the grading system from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Education Board / Technical Education Board in Bangladesh.

4. The total number of GPA in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English at least 20.00 in HSC/equivalent examination.

It was decided to take 200 Marks on the written test in BUTEX admission 2022. There will be no MCQ & Exam Duration will be 2 hours.

As per the admission prospectus, Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written admission test. However, students who score below 40% in the written test will not be included in the merit list.

Note that the merit list of maximum 3,000 applicants will be published.

Interested applicants will apply in BUTEX University Admission Circular 2021-22 by SMS system. Only Teletalk mobile will be used to fill-up the admission form. SMS format is given below:

After Sending First SMS, applicant will get a reply message from Teletalk for Valid Candidates by mentioning a PIN Number and Admission Test Fees, like-

Example: Sheikh Shafi Ahmed, YOUR PIN IS 94654322. PAY TK 1000 AS APPLICATION FEE

Step 2

After getting the PIN number, you have to send 2nd message via Teletalk number with a balance of more than TK 1000 and then type –

BUT<space>YES<space>PIN<space>Mobile Number and Send it to 16222.

Example: BUT YES 8709900 01711081199 and Send it to 16222

You will get Reply from Teletalk, like:

Bangladesh Textile University BUTEX Admit Card 2022 can be Downloaded from 5 July 10:00 AM to 15 July 2022, 11:59 PM. Only eligible candidates who filled up the final application form can be download the Admission Test Admit Card. The applicant’s photo and signature must be uploaded while downloading the admit card. Admission test date and other information will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates will be informed about the admit card and date of admission test through SMS.

Follow the instructions below to download the Bangladesh Textile University Admission Test Admit Card 2020-21.

1. Visit the admission website but.teletalk.com.bd.
2. Login with user ID and password.
3. The applicant’s photo and signature need to be uploaded
4. Download the PDF of the admit card and print the color.

The admission test of Bangladesh Textile University will be held on 12 August 2022. BUTEX Admission Test Seat Plan 2022 will be revealed before the admission test. The admission test seat plan will be published on the university’s website. Earlier, the admit card for the admission test will be published.

Admission test will be held in different centers of Dhaka according to the published seating arrangement. The admission test will be held at Dhaka City College, Govt. Candidates can download a PDF copy of the result from the Bangladesh University of Textile official website butex.edu.bd. Textile Engineering University Admission Test 2021-22 was held on 12 August in different centers of Dhaka. The merit list and the waiting list have been published today. 1. How competitive is the admission in BUTEX?

Ans: The admission in BUTEX is a bit competitive. Last year we had to allow above 7000 candidates for admission test against 600 seats.

2. What is the minimum requirement?

• SSC or equivalent: GPA not less than 5.0
• HSC or equivalent: GPA not less than 5.0
• HSC Math+Physics+Chemistry+English: Grade Point not less than 20.00

3. When will you open the Admission Procedure?

Ans: BUTEX admission procedure generally opens after the publication of HSC result each year.

4. Can 2nd timer apply?

Ans: Sorry. The students who have completed HSC in 2021 are only eligible to apply.

5. Can you tell me about Admission Test?

Ans: 

• You will have to go through an admission Test of 200 marks
• The admission Test is composed of Math: 60 marks, Phy: 60 marks, Chem: 60 marks and English: 20 marks.
• Type of questions: Written
• You will be evaluated on Admission Test Score

6. How long would it take to complete the course?

Ans: You will have to complete 08 semesters within 04 years.

7. I didn’t have mathematics in HSC. Can I apply?

Ans: You must have Mathematics in HSC at least as optional subject. Otherwise BUTEX cant process your application.
